Photographer + Mama

Hey there! Welcome.

I'm a newborn photographer living in the Triangle area of North Carolina. I've been taking pictures of families for a while now... ever since getting my degree in Photojournalism from the University of North Carolina in 2011. Do you know what has shaped me as a photographer more than anything else? Becoming a mom. No lie. It's like I have brand new eyes to see moments that always existed, but I didn't know mattered.

I'm wife to Robert - my burly, bearded Alabama guy who I've known since childhood; and mom to Ava and Jackson - my really cute albeit rambunctious six year old twins, and George - my chunky and super laid back 8 month old baby. Our house is loud. And chaotic. And super full of snuggles and boogers and I'm just being real with y'all.

Since becoming a mom in 2018, my passion for newborn photography has grown. I love walking into a family's home in those early days with a brand new baby. I get it. I've been there. It's tender, and it's hard. But it's full of the richest moments available for a camera to capture. And I'm here for it.
